About the Role
We are seeking a competent and structured Academic Support Coach to work with learners aged 13–15 (Grades 8–9) in an afternoon-based role. This position focuses on academic structure, homework supervision, study skills, and accountability. It is not a subject tutoring role and is not a senior management or full-time teaching position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and structure daily homework and assessment preparation
- Support learners with time management, organisation, and study skills
- Help learners develop independence, consistency, and accountability
- Track progress and adjust support where needed
- Provide calm, firm guidance within a structured academic routine
Requirements
- Practical experience working with high school learners (essential)
- Background in education, tutoring, academic support, or coaching
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple learners
- Confident, calm, and consistent approach with adolescents
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
