About the Role
The Milling and Storage Manager will oversee the operational efficiency of our hammer mill production and manage the storage of lucerne, with a focus on risk management. This role is based in Jan Kempdorp, Northern Cape, and requires a strong operational background with experience in managing teams and driving productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the operational efficiency of the hammer mill production
- Oversee the storage of lucerne
- Conduct regular risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards
- Lead a local team to drive productivity and achieve targets
- Collaborate with third-party storage suppliers to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
- Basic Qualification: Operational or Agricultural tertiary qualification
- 3 – 5 years experience in operational or agricultural settings
- Understanding/experience of Lucerne as a commodity
- Understand risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Lucerne
- Likeable/relatable person with strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Lucerne grading certificate essential
