About the Role
This is your chance to step into a high-influence strategic role where your ideas don’t sit in someone’s inbox — they shape the future of how a major financial institution drives collections, optimizes risk, and leverages AI and machine learning across the full credit life cycle. You’ll be the person who answers the question: “How do we collect smarter, faster, and more efficiently — at scale?”
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize end-to-end collections strategies
- Build, deploy, and monitor predictive models
- Drive portfolio analytics and provide deep-dive insights
- Own target forecasting and collections scorecards
- Lead champion/challenger tests to improve profitability
- Integrate analytical models into operational processes for real impact
- Automate reporting and enhance dashboards in partnership with BI
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and tools
Requirements
- Honours degree or equivalent in Stats, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Engineering
- 5+ years in a similar strategic analytics role
- High comfort with data-driven decision-making
- Ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong technical skills: SQL, Python, R, AWS, and advanced Excel
Qualifications
- Completed Honours degree or equivalent in Stats, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Engineering
