About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our team in Midrand, South Africa. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will work closely with production, laboratory, and quality teams to monitor, test, and approve materials and products at various stages of the manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Approve or reject starting materials, packaging materials, bulk, and finished products
Ensure that appropriate testing is carried out and that records are evaluated
Ensure that appropriate process and cleaning validations are done
Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to needs
Inspection and investigation to monitor factors that may affect product quality
Monitoring of storage conditions for materials and products
Ensure equipment, premises or production areas, operators and starting materials are clean and in good order before commencement of processes
Ensure that appropriate PPE is correctly used
Ensure status cards are filled in correctly and timeously

Requirements

Proficiency in English, with strong reading and writing skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
Self-motivated, quick learner, and goal-oriented
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (if applicable)
