About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources, Labour Relations & Compliance Manager to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEIBC, employment equity, and B-BBEE compliance, with a proven track record of managing HR functions, labour relations, and statutory compliance in the plastics manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, employee records, and exits
- Maintain accurate employee files in compliance with POPIA and statutory requirements
- Draft, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Provide labour law guidance to management and supervisors
- Prepare for and represent the company at CCMA and Bargaining Council proceedings
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure legislative compliance
- Ensure accurate statutory submissions for PAYE, UIF, SDL, and COIDA
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in an HR / Labour Relations role within manufacturing or plastics
- Proven working knowledge of MEIBC agreements
- Demonstrated experience with Employment Equity Act (EEA) compliance and reporting
- Working knowledge of B-BBEE Act and HR-related scorecard elements
- Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and CCMA procedures
- Experience handling disciplinary hearings and grievance processes
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) accreditation appropriate for factory / manufacturing environments
