Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a related tertiary qualification in marketing, commercial and/or Agriculture
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Management and Key Account Management specifically
  • Must have a relevant proven track record
  • Astute with sound forecasting and budgeting knowledge and experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel when required


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing key accounts for identified customers, analyzing client-related information and developing strategies to preserve customer relationships.
  • Setting objectives and strategies to ensure key clients are receiving consistent service and attention.
  • Maintaining and ensuring continuous growth of local and international markets in agreement with company strategies.
  • Defining and achieving specific sales, market share, and profit margins.
  • Managing divisional contribution through better cost management and maximization of both volumes and margins.
  • Developing and implementing national marketing strategies.
  • Implementing and controlling marketing activities and sales strategies.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and keeping abreast of market developments and trends.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring members within the sales and marketing team.
  • Managing research and development initiatives within the department.
  • Compiling sales budgets and forecasting for the department.
  • Managing the Agri sales and marketing teams consisting of internal sales, external sales, and agronomists.
