Job Description

Role Overview

You will be responsible for leading a small team of analysts and implementing analytics solutions across the full data lifecycle — from data preparation and modelling through to insight delivery and executive reporting. The role works closely with finance and operational teams to guide pricing, costing structures, and overall product financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the analytics database and SQL models
Build and enhance financial models for product performance and pricing
Prepare, analyse, and present product performance insights for management and financial reporting
Analyse economic factors and risks impacting product pricing
Conduct claims and performance analysis on financial products
Lead, mentor, and develop junior analysts
Prepare budgets and fund-related financial data
Support audits and external valuators with data preparation and queries
Contribute to finance and product performance committees
Maintain documentation and continuously improve analytical processes
Automate monthly reporting processes with BI support
Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support adjacent teams

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline
5+ years’ experience in analytics, financial modelling, or product performance analysis
Proven management or team leadership experience
Strong SQL / database experience
Advanced Excel skills
Exposure to Python and/or R for statistical or analytical modelling
Experience working with financial services, insurance, or financial products (advantageous)
Strong communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders
High attention to detail and strong commercial thinking
