About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have a degree of qualification in chemical technology or a related field and hands-on experience in a Laboratory setting, with a proven track record of conducting Laboratory tests and performing qualitative and quantitative analyses on solids, liquids, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Laboratory tests and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on solids, liquids, and other materials
Prepare chemical solutions and create solutions following standardized formulas or experiments
Monitor quality control and ensure that products meet safety and quality standards
Maintain Laboratory equipment by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining laboratory instruments daily
Compile reports by documenting experimental results and prepare technical reports and graphs
Assist in research and collaborate with chemists and colleagues to develop new products and improve existing processes

Requirements

Degree of qualification in chemical technology or a related field
Hands-on experience in a Laboratory setting
Proficiency in Laboratory techniques and equipment, as well as knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
Experience in the manufacturing industry

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology or a related field
Matric certificate (if applicable)
