About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of on-site project activities, ensuring quality, productivity, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain daily on-site presence to supervise activities and ensure alignment with project plans
Attend planning meetings and liaise with the project manager and subcontractor supervisors
Allocate tasks, check resource availability, and oversee tools and material usage
Ensure all work adheres to the programme, with recovery plans for any delays
Maintain consistent communication with the main contractor and Cross Fire Management
Report on site issues, incidents, and drawing changes within 24 hours
Issue and manage site instructions in line with the project manager’s approvals
Complete and submit daily diaries tracking labour, productivity, and deviations

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in a site management or supervisory role within construction or fire protection
Strong understanding of project lifecycle and site management protocols
Experience managing subcontractor performance and coordinating directly with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in daily reporting, documentation, and interpretation of construction drawings

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a site management or supervisory role within construction or fire protection (no formal education mentioned)

Salary & Benefits

R24,000 – R28,000 CTC
