About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Site Agent to support the successful delivery of construction projects in Cape Town City Centre. This role focuses on assisting with site management, ensuring adherence to programme schedules, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting efficient cost and resource control across assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day site operations on assigned projects
- Support the coordination of subcontractors, labour, materials, and equipment
- Monitor project progress against programme timelines and milestones
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to production planning and execution
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Identify variations and support contractual documentation
- Communicate with subcontractors and resolve site-related issues
- Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with site safety standards
- Ensure toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety checklists are completed
- Monitor PPE compliance and support implementation of HSE procedures
- Identify hazards and contribute to risk mitigation on site
- Assist with site inspections and ensure compliance with SANS and project specifications
- Verify workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Support documentation of quality checks and inspection records
- Assist with project scheduling, sequencing, and progress tracking
- Monitor material usage, wastage, and site resource efficiency
- Support cost tracking and reporting of deviations or risks
- Prepare progress reports and site documentation
