About the Role

Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Mine Manager to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for leading life-of-mine planning and production execution by driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the life-of-mine planning process
Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence initiatives
Develop, implement, monitor, and report on production strategies, plans, schedules, and activities
Provide directional support across mining and plant operations to achieve production objectives
Conduct inspections and assessments to improve pit performance, orebody knowledge, and resource optimisation
Ensure accurate tracking and communication of progress against plan
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in line with mining, safety, and legislative requirements
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and operational standards
Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Collaborate closely with appointed legal appointees and operational teams to achieve production targets
Promote discipline, cost control, operational efficiency, and a strong safety culture

Requirements

Grade 12
Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
Mine Manager’s Certificate if Competency
A minimum of 15 years experience in the mining industry, of which at least 5 years must be in a legal appointment
Extensive experience in open pit mining operations
Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering (Degree/Diploma)
Mine Manager’s Certificate if Competency (Certificate)

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R2.2Mil – R2.4Mil P/A
