About the Role
Our client, Safari Lodge in Hoedspruit, is seeking a dynamic and experienced F&B Assistant Manager to join its team. This role offers the chance to work in a unique environment where hospitality meets conservation, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences in the heart of nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily food & beverage operations across restaurant, bar and event services.
- Support the Management Couple in supervising staff, scheduling shifts and maintaining service standards.
- When the Management Couple is off duty, assume their responsibilities to ensure seamless lodge operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and manage supplier relationships.
- Contribute to menu planning, special events and guest dining experiences.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Assist with training, mentoring, and motivating the F&B team.
- Maintain cost control and assist with budgeting and reporting.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 35 years of experience in food & beverage management or supervisory roles within hospitality.
- Previous lodge, resort, or luxury hospitality experience will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, POS systems).
- Valid drivers license (preferred).
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage or related field.
- Relevant certification in food safety and hygiene.
