About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at PAR Excellence in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our food factory, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and other regulations, while also managing staff and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Decide on Engineering operations/budget control of capital expenditures/projects/implement/maintain records for planned maintenance schedules/WI/CI/vertical/horizontal communication regarding duties/compile/work with Action Plans/ensure deadlines met/report to GM & MD on duties/what were agreed upon.
• Maintain/troubleshoot/repair plant premises/equipment/understand/have working/cleaning knowledge of all equipment/operations/production systems.
• Ensure fine tuning of process. equipment./QC/maintain products/workmanship to agreed standards.
• Control Engineering stock/prevent waste/order Engineering spare parts/requirements/maintain supplier relationships/report regularly.
• Conform to organogram/all documents/records/know all staff Job Descriptions/WI.
• Recruit/train/plan/organise/ manage/assess timekeeping/VIP/team building of Engineering staff.
• Analyse/create/develop new systems/CI/do things better with GM/MD vision/strategy/capex limitations.
• Mngt info/admin. support/ensure accurate/docs control.
• Ensure self-development re. the job/full training on all aspects re. the Manager ,incl. understanding of all Acts/customer/co. guidelines/requirements.
• Implement/manage/staff training on above/ensure efficient workflow/knowledge build.

Requirements

• Tech Gr12/N3 Mech/Elec;CompLit. 5-10 yrs exp on food/meat process maintenance management in /pack factory/GMP/temp control/product specs/HMS/HACCP/staff management/food law/customer relations.
• Decide on Engineering operations/budget control of capital expenditures/projects/implement/maintain records for planned maintenance schedules/WI/CI/vertical/horizontal communication regarding duties/compile/work with Action Plans/ensure deadlines met/report to GM & MD on duties/what were agreed upon.
