About the Role
A well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced Senior Site-Based Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic project team on a high-quality residential and commercial development in Stellenbosch. We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in quantity surveying, who can provide expert guidance on all aspects of cost management and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Full site-based quantity surveying functions from inception to close-out
- Measurement, preparation, and management of BOQs
- Cost planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and appointment
- Valuations, progress payments, and final accounts
- Variations management and claims assessment
Requirements
- BSc / BTech / ND in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 8 years experience in building construction
- Proven experience on residential and commercial projects
- Strong site-based experience (non-negotiable)
- Solid understanding of JBCC contracts
- Proficient in measurement, cost reporting, and financial controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / BTech / National Diploma in Quantity Surveying
