About the Role
Network Contracting is seeking an experienced Earthmoving Technician to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on our heavy earthmoving equipment, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on earthmoving machinery
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, axles, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic tools and software
- Attend to breakdowns on-site when required
- Complete job cards and service reports accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic (Trade Test essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Qualifications
- Qualified Trade Test Certificate in Diesel Mechanics or Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic
