About the Role
Network Contracting, a leading provider of automation solutions in Gauteng, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and programming PLC systems, as well as providing technical support to production and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and program PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider or similar)
- Develop and configure HMI/SCADA systems
- Perform system testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting
- Commission and maintain automation systems on-site
- Modify and upgrade existing control systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Compile technical documentation and reports
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in PLC programming within an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and control panels
- Experience with VSDs, instrumentation, and industrial networks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required
Qualifications
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation
