About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our team in Bloemfontein. As a Contract Manager at Wasteplan, you will be responsible for ensuring that all sites and personnel are run as productively and efficiently as possible, while also maximizing recycling extraction to assist with profits. You will act as the primary contact between clients, head office, and operations department to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan personnel for each site in order to meet SLA requirements and financial targets
  • Recruitment and appointment of personnel as per company policies and procedures
  • Plan equipment and lay-out on site, as per SLA agreement for the sites
  • Ensure that all sites have the correct stock, consumables, and that the equipment is in good condition
  • Be well-informed regarding the agreed SLA of each client and site
  • Oversee and ensure that all sites are clean, productive, and operational
  • Plan cage and bin collections to adhere to site requirements
  • Liaise with Transport Controller and service providers regarding collection of recyclables
  • Collect and deliver service delivery notes to finance department
  • Report any problems to Operations Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 (tertiary qualification is advantageous)
  • 5 years’ working experience
  • Experience in waste management or recycling industry
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Computer literate
  • Passion for working with people
  • Strong communication ability in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 (if formal education mentioned)

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: R400,000 – R550,000 per annum, depending on experience.
