About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing tractors, trucks, generators, and farm machinery. If you have a passion for diesel engines and enjoy working independently in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair tractors, trucks, generators, and farm machinery
- Diagnose and fix diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns
- Perform welding and fabrication as required
- Respond to field breakdowns and support farm operations during peak periods
Requirements
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic in an agricultural or heavy-equipment environment
- Strong knowledge of tractors, trucks, generators, hydraulics, and welding
- Ability to work independently and respond to field breakdowns
- Basic record-keeping and good workshop practices
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to work across multiple farm sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic in an agricultural or heavy-equipment environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (if applicable)
