Job Description

The Maintenance Planner ensures maintenance activities are aligned with safety, reliability, and production requirements, supporting efficient plant operations and asset integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.

  • Prepare work packages, job plans, task lists, and required materials/spare parts.

  • Schedule daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance activities using CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).

Equipment Reliability & Inspection

  • Coordinate with engineers and technicians to identify recurring equipment issues.

  • Support root cause analysis (RCA), failure reporting, and reliability improvement initiatives.

  • Review OEM manuals and engineering standards for task planning and safety procedures.

  • ? Materials & Spare Parts Management

  • Ensure timely availability of required materials, tools, and spares for planned jobs.

  • Coordinate with procurement and stores for inventory accuracy and parts availability.

Work Order Management

Review, prioritize, and track work requests and work orders in the CMMS.

  • Update status, close out completed jobs, and maintain accurate equipment history.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation including equipment maintenance records, drawings, manuals, and inspection reports.

  • Prepare KPI reports on maintenance backlog, schedule compliance, MTBF/MTTR, etc.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and safety teams to minimize downtime.

  • Participate in planning meetings, shutdown preparation, and maintenance reviews.

HSE Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance plans and jobs follow company safety, health, and environmental procedures.

  • Incorporate LOTO, confined space, and other safety protocols into job plans
