About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled mechanic to join our team at Farm Manager SA. As a qualified diesel/petrol mechanic with trade test, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment, including John Deere machinery. You will also work closely with our farming team to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime. Your innovative approach and ability to work in challenging conditions are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair diesel/petrol engines and mechanical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on agricultural equipment
  • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and provide effective solutions
  • Collaborate with the farming team to ensure efficient operations

Requirements

  • Qualified Diesel/Petrol Mechanic (Trade Test preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an agricultural or workshop environment
  • Previous experience with John Deere equipment
  • Knowledge of precision farming advantageous
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
