Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically driven individual looking to further their actuarial career in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the calculation and analysis of Technical Provisions
Contributing to IFRS 17 actuarial inputs and reporting
Assisting with the development, testing, and maintenance of IFRS 17 models, processes, and controls
Working closely with actuarial, finance, capital, and audit teams to ensure accurate and compliant reporting
Driving enhancements to actuarial methodologies and insurance reporting frameworks
Supporting process improvement, automation, and digitisation initiatives
Researching and applying actuarial and accounting principles to specialised insurance products

Ideal background:

Degree in Actuarial Science with strong academic results
Nearly or newly qualified actuary (ASSA or equivalent)
3+ years’ experience, preferably within short-term insurance
Strong reserving and/or reporting experience
Exposure to IFRS 17 / IFRS advantageous but not essential
Experience in project-based work beneficial
Programming skills in VBA, R, Python, or similar advantageous
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a collaborative environment
