Job Description

A 4* Hotel seeks to employ a Guest Relations Officer, The guest relations officer is at the forefront of customer service. They are one of the first hotel staff members to greet guests as they arrive. They provide hotel guests with above-and-beyond service to ensure their experience will be worth remembering. The position ensures that guests are happy from the moment they step into the hotel until they leave as well as after their stay Requirements At least 2-years’ experience in the Hotel industry, in a similar position. Fidelio Opera “Front Office and Cashiering functions” advantageous Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Superior Communication skills and fluent in English Display a high level of emotional intelligence and be presentable Customer orientation, professionalism, charm and sophistication Ability to work shifts and occasional overtime QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Std. 10 (Grade 12) Hospitality Management qualifications an advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures the implementation of successful hotel and customer relations. Meeting of all VIP guests on arrival and daily follow-up. Prepares and delivers all VIP Gifting and Special Occasion recognitions. Plans, coordinates and assists with guest activities, airline bookings and reconfirmations, restaurant and itinerary bookings. Assists with all guest and group check-ins and check-outs in a professional, efficient and courteous manner and maintain a high standard of personal service with all customers Maintains and updates guest profiles and preferences. To assist the Sales & Marketing department in promoting and selling the hotel & the facilities to prospective guests as well as conducting and hosting site inspections. Ensuring effective communication from the reception department to all operational departments. An UPDATED & detailed CV in MS Word format (starting with current position) is required, as well as a Recent head & shoulders photo, taken in the last 6 months.
