About the Role

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Electrical Technologist/Technician to join our client’s team in Cape Town, presenting an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a renowned company and contribute to a variety of engineering ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in municipal and private sector projects, specializing in mechanical engineering services like HVAC, fire, and wet services.
• Contribute to projects from initial feasibility and concept development stages to detailed design and project execution.
• Exhibit both independent and team-oriented work approaches, thriving under pressure while setting and achieving goals, showing self-motivation, and a readiness to learn.
• Foster collaboration within a small, open-plan office environment that encourages communication.
• Demonstrate autonomy in managing administrative tasks and project responsibilities.
• Engage with clients/employers, public authorities, project teams, and executive managers through active participation in design and client meetings.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation including cost estimates, bills of quantities, specifications, technical and procurement documents, and reports.
• Oversee projects and contracts related to mechanical infrastructure and building services, ensuring their successful completion.
• Apply analytical skills to make independent decisions and solve complex problems.
• Take charge of financial planning for projects by developing accurate revenue and capital estimates and budgets spanning the project’s lifecycle.

Requirements

• Possess a National Diploma (Ndip) with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience or a Bachelors degree (BTech) with at least 5 years of work experience.
• Exhibit proficient knowledge of design software relevant to HVAC engineering services, such as Carrier HAP.
• Maintain a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.
• Registration with ECSA as Pr Tech or Pr Techni Eng would be advantageous, or eligibility for registration.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
• Highly skilled in utilizing MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, and similar software packages, with additional experience in Revit MEP being beneficial.
• Possess expertise in integrating various software packages for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
