About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join a prestigious luxury safari lodge located in the Kruger National Park. This role is ideal for a hands-on, organised professional with strong technical expertise and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall maintenance operations of the lodge, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs.
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and training where required.
  • Liaise with lodge management to prioritise tasks and support operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Manage stock, budgets, and procurement for the maintenance department.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role, preferably within hospitality or lodge environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications will be an advantage (no formal education mentioned)

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
  • Live-in position
  • Phone allowance of R750
  • 50% contribution to medical aid
