- Must have a minimum of 5+ years in a managerial role, specifically in Textile HOMESWARE / Linen Manufacturing
- A highly stable, hands-on leader (not a consultant or high-level executive) ready to be embedded permanently in the daily factory operations.
About:
As a Factory Manager, you will oversee all operations within the manufacturing facility. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a deep understanding of production processes. You will be accountable for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, managing resources effectively, and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the production process.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.
- Monitor production output and quality standards to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Resource Allocation and Management:
- Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of production staff.
- Oversee inventory control, procurement of raw materials, and equipment maintenance to support uninterrupted production.
- Optimise resource allocation to minimise waste and maximise output while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process to meet customer expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among staff by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Investigate and promptly address any incidents or hazards to prevent recurrence and ensure a safe working environment.
- Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage the production budget, forecast expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor production costs and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and reduce overheads.
- Analyse financial performance metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement and drive profitability.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and logistics, to coordinate production schedules and address customer requirements.
- Foster effective collaboration among cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve common goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on production performance, challenges, and opportunities.
