Job Description

Role Purpose:

Ensure products meet internal and external quality standards, comply with ISO GMP, and adhere to regulatory requirements. Oversee product information accuracy, manage technical operations, and lead the Quality team to deliver excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality & Compliance:

  • Maintain ISO 22716 GMP, Sedex SMETA, and ISO 9002 certifications.

  • Ensure SOPs, work instructions, and records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

  • Monitor Out of Specification (OOS), deviations, and concessions; ensure resolution and reporting.

Regulatory & Product Oversight:

  • Ensure product labelling and packaging comply with regulations.

  • Advise R&D and product teams on regulatory requirements, ingredients, claims, allergens, and safety.

  • Review and approve final product artwork, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.

Team & Department Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the Quality team; conduct performance reviews.

  • Maintain adherence to department procedures and policies.

  • Conduct daily updates, resolve team issues, and ensure training and competence.

Customer & Audit Management:

  • Manage customer audits, CAPA, product complaints, and recalls.

  • Coordinate dummy recalls and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

  • Provide monthly reports summarising trends, issues, and achievements.

Documentation & Product Information:

  • Maintain Product Information Files (PIFs) and Product Specifications.

  • Ensure all lab tests, stability tests, packaging tests, technical drawings, and MOMs are filed and compliant.

  • Archive PIFs and specifications for regulatory compliance.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Quality, Chemistry, Food Science, Cosmetics, or related field.

  • Extensive experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership in Cosmetics, Food, or Pharmaceutical industries.

  • Knowledge of GMP standards, regulatory requirements, formulation, packaging, and ingredients.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
