About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead our luxury safari lodge’s full food and beverage operation. As a dynamic hospitality professional, you will be responsible for ensuring that all F&B operations run efficiently, consistently, and in line with company standards, while providing exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all food and beverage operations
- Lead; recruit, train, and develop the F&B team
- Ensure service delivery meets high guest experience standards
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and stock control systems
- Establish and manage operational procedures, KPIs, and schedules
- Handle guest feedback and respond proactively to concerns
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Report on sales, productivity, and operational performance
- Assist in overall lodge operations and stand in for senior management when required
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Matric (further qualification in hospitality or related field advantageous)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and guest service abilities
- Proven experience in stock control, budgeting, and financial management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Valid RSA ID and drivers license
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
- Knowledge of hospitality systems such as Opera or Symphony advantageous
