About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Export Business Development Manager to drive sustainable growth in our export markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for front-end market development in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on acquiring new customers, activating channel partners, and creating regional demand. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to the company’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sustainable growth in export markets through new customer acquisition and market development
  • Activate and enable channel partners to achieve business objectives
  • Create regional demand through targeted marketing initiatives and business development activities
  • Plan and execute demand generation initiatives, including trade shows, customer events, supplier roadshows, technical workshops, seminars, and webinars
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers

Requirements

  • 3 years of successful export sales experience, preferably in B2B export sales, business development, or marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and open markets
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with confidence in forecasting and ROI analysis
  • Data analytics and data-driven approach, with disciplined CRM usage
  • Comfortable working across countries and cultures

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (advantageous)
