Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Physically fit and healthy
- Matric, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous (Sales/Marketing/Civil Engineering),
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry,
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
- Ability to understand and convey technical information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of sales targets and revenue goals.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Timeliness and accuracy of order deliveries.
- Quality and completeness of sales documentation and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential customers in the construction industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and developers.
- Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitable margins.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and address any issues.
- Provide technical support and product information to customers.
- Follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity and marketing campaigns.
Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:
- Stay informed about the properties and benefits of ready-mix concrete products.
- Understand and communicate the technical specifications and applications of various concrete mixes.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate product for their needs.
Coordination and Logistics:
- Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor and track orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Resolve any issues related to product delivery and quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details.
- Regularly update CRM system
- Track and analyse sales performance against targets and objectives.
