Job Description

Job Title: Restaurant Hostess Overview: We are seeking a welcoming and personable individual to join our team as a Restaurant Hostess. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, seating them at their tables, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for all patrons. Key Responsibilities: 1. Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude. 2. Seat guests at appropriate tables and provide them with menus. 3. Effectively communicate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service. 4. Answer phone calls and take reservations. 5. Manage the waiting list during peak dining hours. 6. Maintain a clean and organized hostess stand area. 7. Assist with general restaurant tasks as needed. Qualifications: 1. Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. 2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 5. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with grace. 6. Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and food service industry. 7. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. 2. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. 3. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
