About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Nature Guide to join our luxury boutique reserve in Hermanus, Overberg Coastal. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with visitors and contribute to the conservation of this unique protected biosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead nature walks and guided tours for visitors, sharing knowledge of fynbos, birdlife, and marine ecosystems.
- Develop and implement educational programs to promote the reserve’s conservation efforts.
- Collaborate with our team to create engaging experiences that showcase the reserve’s natural beauty.
- Participate in conservation activities, such as habitat restoration and species monitoring.
Requirements
- Experience & knowledge of Overberg Birdlife, Fynbos & plant life, Marine & ecosystems.
- Physically fit & healthy with at least 5 years’ experience as a guide.
- Minimum CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) / FGASA Nature Guide (NQF2) or higher qualification.
- Up-to-date Registration with the National Department of Tourism (NDT).
- Valid South African driver’s license WITH (PDP).
