Job Description

This opportunity is with a well-established organisation operating at scale within a complex retail and finance environment. The business relies heavily on stable, well-optimised finance systems to support daily operations, reporting, and decision-making. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring finance systems are available, optimised, and aligned to business requirements. You will work closely with finance teams and system users, providing second-line support, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving system and process improvements. Youll gain hands-on exposure to enterprise finance systems, play a critical support role in month-end and year-end processes, and have the opportunity to influence system efficiencies and process improvements within a stable, established environment. Key Responsibilities: Monitor finance system availability, user activity, and system performance across business units Identify system risks and improvement opportunities and propose mitigation initiatives Analyse business processes and define system enhancement requirements Propose and evaluate workflow and system optimisation solutions Provide second-line user support, including investigation and resolution of SAP-related issues Manage logged queries and ensure effective resolution Support finance processes during month-end, year-end, and budgeting cycles Share system knowledge and provide ongoing support to stakeholders Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Degree in Business Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in finance systems administration Proven experience providing finance system user support Experience analysing finance business processes Strong experience with SQL queries and data analysis Exposure to month-end reporting, including journals, accruals, and financial reporting Skills: Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent planning, organisation, and time-management abilities Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements Non-negotiables: Finance systems and process exposure Ability to work onsite in Cape Town (Kuilsriver area) Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset Ability to work independently and within a team Apply now!
