Job Description
About the Role
A skilled Agronomist is sought after to join our team in a research and development role, utilizing their expertise in plant physiology, microbiology, and scientific methodology. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in agriculture, preferably with a focus on citrus and subtropical fruit trees, as well as sugarcane.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development projects related to agronomy and horticulture
- Collaborate with the team to implement and monitor plant growth and health
- Perform hands-on work in orchards, utilizing knowledge of plant physiology and microbiology
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Plant Sciences or Agricultural related field
- 5 years experience in agriculture, preferably with research and development
- Familiarity with plant physiology research, microbiology, and scientific methodology
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English required
- Valid driver’s license and own transport essential
Qualifications
- Completed BSc degree in Horticulture/Plant Sciences or Agricultural related field
