Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our client in the Solar Industry in Cape Town. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our customer base in the assigned territory. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs, provide technical solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions focusing medium to large C&I
- projects
- Work with internal team and/or customers to develop a optimized technical solutions for renewable energy projects;
- Prelim technical solution design, costing and proposal write up
- Assist client contract negotiations.
- Develop sales with new and existing accounts in assigned areas to meet business targets.
- Develop competitive strategies to sales objectives and maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
- Provide input on the business plan to ensure sales sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers within the industry
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years technical sales experience in renewable energy or related
- Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators and electrical reticulation
- Ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions
- Ability to coordinate amongst multidisciplinary teams (both internally and externally)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
- Ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure.
- Knowledge of project management will be advantageous
- Previous large scale solar installations knowledge will be an advantage.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
