About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing high-volume, complex payrolls, with a strong understanding of compliance and ability to take ownership of the full payroll process with minimal supervision. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring strong attention to detail, accountability, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end processing of monthly payrolls for a large employee base
Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, deductions, and benefits
Manage payroll inputs, validations, and reconciliations
Handle statutory submissions including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and IRP5s
Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and internal controls
Resolve payroll queries and liaise with HR, finance, and management
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
Support audits, reporting, and year-end payroll processes
Assist with process improvements and payroll-related projects

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a payroll administration role
Proven experience handling high-volume payrolls
Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and compliance
Experience working on a recognised payroll system (essential)
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confident communicator able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
