About the Role
The Credit Controller role at Staff Solutions is a critical position that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage our debtors’ book, reconcile customer accounts, and ensure timely payment of outstanding amounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect outstanding amounts on the debtors’ book
- Reconcile customer accounts as required
- Reconcile all control accounts
- Prepare and process credit and debit notes
- Prepare and post journals
- Conduct credit vetting in line with company policy
- Obtain and verify trade references
- Follow up on and resolve account queries
- Perform inter-branch reconciliations and confirmations
- Import debit order files
- Process new and cancelled debit orders daily
- Daily coding and printing of EFTs from the bank
- Perform monthly checks on returned debit orders
- Manage client portals, including loading of invoices
- Update and maintain accurate customer information (data clean-up)
- Provide regular feedback on overdue accounts
- Adhere to strict deadlines for month-end and monthly reporting
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Certificate or Diploma in Credit Management, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Credit Management role
