Job Description
As a key partner to the Managing Director, you will oversee the full employee life cycle, ensure compliance, enhance performance, and create a high-engagement workplace where people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Management
- Design and manage recruitment strategies, including working with recruitment partners
- Conduct screening, interviews, and talent assessments
- Oversee a structured, effective onboarding experience
Performance Management
- Support managers in setting performance goals and conducting reviews
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback frameworks
Labour Law & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all labour legislation and HR regulations
- Manage FAIS rep register, CPD status, and qualification tracking
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts professionally and fairly
- Develop engagement initiatives to improve culture, productivity, and morale
- Champion diversity and inclusion across the organisation
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and design learning initiatives
- Support leadership development and capability-building efforts
Operational HR
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
- Manage ad-hoc HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure best-practice HR processes and high service delivery standards

- Emotionally mature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and telephonic)
- Strong time management and ability to multitask effectively
- Presentable, polished, and confident
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related (advantageous)
- 3–5 years HR generalist experience
- Financial services industry exposure is beneficial
- Strong working knowledge of SA labour laws (BCEA, EEA, SDA, etc.)
- Proficient in HR systems, ATS platforms, and modern HR practices
