About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Front of House Operator to join our busy vibey gastropub and cocktail bar in Bryanston and Fourways. With a comprehensive events calendar over weekends, we need someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shift operations end-to-end, including pre-shift briefing, floor leadership, close-down restaurant, cashups
- Host and engage with guests, manage bookings/walk-ins, and table pacing
- Lead front of house staff, overseeing service, pace, attitude, and guest experience
- Drive sales by upselling and managing live nights/events
- Maintain controls: cash-up, voids, comps, SOP compliance, cleanliness, stock awareness
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience in high volume stand alone restaurants
- Previous experience running shift operations end-to-end in a la carte restaurants
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
