About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is a leading meat products manufacturer committed to excellence, based in Cape Town, Western Cape, with a workforce of 500-1,000 employees serving a wide range of clients in the food production and distribution industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost management.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliations and month-end closures.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to improve financial efficiency.
- Implement and enhance financial controls and risk management procedures.
- Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and cost control strategies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
