About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Solar Systems Technician to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our solar energy solutions, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing installations for solar or backup energy systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and warranty periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and overseeing installations for solar or backup energy systems.
- Performing electrical installations to a certified standard and signing off on Certificate of Compliance’s (COC).
- Troubleshooting and resolving warranty claim issues related to installed solar systems.
- Training customers on the systems and obtaining sign-offs from them.
- Collaborating with installation companies to ensure compliance with company standards and holding them accountable for their warranty periods.
- Providing energy auditing equipment and creating reports based on gathered data.
- Working with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and test new products in the industry.
Requirements
- Matric
- Excel skills essential
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Knowledge and experience in sales
- 2+ years of knowledge in solar systems and backend applications that work with the solar systems.
- Registered with the Electrical Contracting Board of South Africa (E.C.B)) or studying/working towards registration is acceptable
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Own transport
