About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Junior .Net Developer to join their R&D team in Durban, KZN. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for software development and a desire to grow within the .NET ecosystem. As a junior developer, you’ll work closely with experienced developers to support the development and maintenance of web applications, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and debug code, learning to solve complex problems in a supportive environment.
- Contribute to implementing microservices, background services (e.g., Hangfire) under the guidance of senior developers.
- Support front-end tasks, gaining familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js) and Blazor for interactive web UIs.
- Participate in code reviews, learning to write clean, maintainable code.
- Assist with database development using T-SQL and stored procedures.
- Learn and support basic DevOps practices, including CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience or relevant internship in .NET development (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with T-SQL.
- Exposure to JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js) and willingness to learn Blazor.
- Enthusiasm for learning about caching (e.g., Redis), messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ), and background services.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
