About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced IT Manager to manage their Information Technology function, supporting the overall business strategy and service delivery to the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a robust, secure, and efficient IT environment that drives operational excellence and enables future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Environment & Governance:
- Ensure a fit-for-purpose IT environment is attained to support operational efficiency and improvement.
- Develop and implement IT governance and compliance frameworks, systems, and processes.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Manage IT infrastructure, including software and hardware assets and license management.
- Risk & Security:
- Manage IT risks considering the constantly changing and evolving technological landscape.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Develop IT security strategy and architecture across all layers (e.g., network, OS, application).
- Strategy & Innovation:
- Develop, implement, and manage the IT strategy and drive technology innovation.
- Optimize key systems to enable a more efficient and cost-efficient manufacturing and supply chain environment.
- Financial Management:
- Manage IT value and monetary aspects, including budgeting and ongoing cost management.
- Project Management:
- Define and oversee the execution of the IT project roadmap and business case development.
- Ensure all IT projects are appropriately managed and executed.
- Architecture & Solutions:
- Define, design, and maintain enterprise architecture (Network, software, etc.).
- Oversee solutions (applications and infrastructure) architecture, development, implementation, and management.
- Team & Partner Management:
- Manage IT staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
- Manage business partners, including outsourced partners, to ensure performance per SLAs and business requirements are met.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare report writing and presentations (e.g., board reports, IT Steercom presentations).
- Service Delivery:
- Manage the IT service desk to ensure timely and effective support.
Requirements
- IT-related Bachelor’s or Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT/systems experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have overseen an ERP migration and possess a strong manufacturing background.
- Good knowledge of ERP & MRP systems (ideally JD Edwards) within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong IT infrastructure knowledge (e.g., networks, servers, Microsoft systems (OS, AD, SCOM, SCCM), cloud environments, etc.).
- Proven systems architecture experience.
- Experience in business process re-engineering.
- Demonstrable programme and project management experience and competence.
