About the Role
The Ward Education Lead position is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving nursing excellence, clinical governance, and professional development across our medical and surgical ward units. This senior leadership position will strengthen clinical standards, enhance patient safety outcomes, and embed a culture of continuous professional development within the hospital’s ward environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design structured learning pathways aligned to SANC regulations and private healthcare standards
- Drive clinical audits, competency assessments, and workplace evaluations
- Embed best practice in infection prevention, patient safety, and risk management
- Support quality improvement initiatives and accreditation compliance
- Partner with Nursing Management to enhance ward performance metrics and care outcomes
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with active SANC registration
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing (essential)
- Minimum 5 years experience within medical and/or surgical wards
- Proven experience in clinical facilitation, mentoring, or workplace assessment
