Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Tender Support Assist with tender briefings, documentation, method statements, and pricing inputs. Support cost estimation and proposal development activities. 2. Project Management, Quality & Compliance Comply with company project registration, risk, quality, and health & safety procedures. Maintain auditable documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. 3. Technical Project Delivery Prepare mass and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, reports, and detailed designs. Conduct water use optimisation, treatment technology selection, and liability assessments. Develop tender documentation and manage drawing preparation. Monitor construction activities, installation quality, testing, commissioning, and project close-out. Assist with project financial administration including invoicing and cost control. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project delivery. Prepare and present technical reports and client presentations. 4. Training & Mentorship Participate in continuous professional development. Support mentoring and technical guidance for engineers-in-training. 5. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and leadership growth. Education & Qualifications B.Eng. Degree in Engineering (Water Engineering postgraduate qualification advantageous). Eligible for Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration within one year, or proof of application to ECSA. Experience Minimum of 5 years of technical and practical experience in water engineering projects. Proven experience in design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment works. At least 5 consecutive years’ experience using water treatment simulation software. Knowledge Working knowledge of drafting software (PFD and P&ID development). Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering integration in infrastructure projects.
