About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our team in Citrusdal, Western Cape. As a junior engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our water infrastructure projects and contributing to the improvement of irrigation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data collection and analysis from pump houses, filters, and dosing systems to improve irrigation efficiency
• Contribute to planning and execution of water infrastructure projects
• Assist in the design and installation of irrigation systems
• Collaborate with the BI and irrigation teams to ensure effective data integration, reporting, and system optimization
• Assist with engineering projects related to infrastructure upgrades, system optimization, and energy efficiency
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Provide administrative support, including project documentation, reporting, and record-keeping

Requirements

• A relevant tertiary qualification preferably in Civil, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Recent graduate to up to 2 years experience in a similar position
• Data orientated mindset
• Competent with Microsoft Office (MS Projects), Power BI, AutoCAD, and basic engineering software
• Basic understanding of irrigation system design and operation will be beneficial
• Knowledge of automation, telemetry, and control systems will be beneficial
