About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager/Project Coordinator to join our team on a fixed-term contract in Potchefstroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and overseeing installation projects from start to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong project management skills and experience in the electronics or audio-visual industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, budget, and tender installation projects
- Manage the full project lifecycle from planning to completion
- Conduct onsite supervision, site establishment, progress tracking, and quality control
- Manage and coordinate contractors and sub-contractors across multiple disciplines
- Resolve issues proactively and escalate risks when appropriate
- Perform office-based administrative tasks and reporting
- Use project management software (PPO experience beneficial)
- Troubleshoot and complete hands-on technical work on electronics-based systems such as access control, CCTV, audio-visual, fire or burglar alarms, and other low-voltage systems
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience coordinating or leading electronics or audio-visual installation projects
- Proven experience handling all stages of a project: planning, budgeting, tendering & awarding, contractor start-up, onsite supervision, troubleshooting & completion
- Hands-on technical experience installing electronics-based systems
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and solve problems without constant supervision
- Strong decision-making ability in fast-paced project environments
- Experience managing contractors and ensuring quality delivery
