Matatiele: Financial Accountant

About the Role

A dynamic and growing business in Matatiele is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth financial operations in line with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and reconcile with purchase orders and goods receipts
• Manage daily cash books and petty cash
• Oversee daily cash office operations
• Balance trade accounts between Arch and Pastel
• Perform monthly HP processing and month-end journals
• Prepare management accounts and monitor aging reports
• Ensure timely vendor payments and accurate account details
• Maintain compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
• Update and monitor debtor and credit applications

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance
• Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Pastel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
