About the Role
The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty within the service department of an automotive dealership. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Listen to customers’ concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Communicate recommended maintenance and repair services to customers
- Generate and explain service estimates to customers
- Schedule appointments and coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up
- Update customers on the status of their vehicle and any additional services needed
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the service process
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of service transactions and customer interactions
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and thorough completion of services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in an automotive service setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair services
- Familiarity with computer software and electronic service systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
