About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production supervision, with experience in heavy engineering or metals manufacturing. They will be responsible for managing a team of 40 production employees and overseeing various aspects of production, including workflow planning, machine maintenance, and health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team of 40 production employees
Oversee workflow planning and production scheduling
Conduct reporting and health and safety management
Coordinate machine maintenance
Utilize knowledge of CNC lathes, slotting, planer, and milling machines

Requirements

Minimum 6 to 8 years Production Supervisory experience in Heavy Engineering or Metals Manufacturing Industry
N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
Trade Tested Fitter and Turner certification
Additional Degree or Diploma in Management or similar (advantageous)
Good understanding of CNC lathes, slotting, planer, and milling machines
