About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Legal Advisor to join our FMCG client based in Montague Gardens. The successful candidate will provide legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and minimising legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and assist with the negotiation of commercial contracts, including supplier, distribution, and service agreements.
- Provide legal guidance to departments such as sales, marketing, procurement, and HR.
- Assist in ensuring company compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including consumer protection, competition, and labour law.
- Support the management and resolution of legal disputes, including liaising with external legal counsel when required.
- Assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark registrations and brand protection.
- Conduct legal research and keep the business informed of relevant legislative changes.
- Help develop and implement internal policies and procedures to manage legal risk.
- Assist with company secretarial and governance matters as needed.
- Support legal training and awareness initiatives for staff.
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent law degree
- 2 years’ experience in a legal advisory, compliance, or contracts administration role (FMCG or commercial sector experience advantageous)
- Good understanding of commercial, contract, and consumer law
- Experience with intellectual property and/or labour law (Advantageous)
